Eddie Murphy
Eddie has been in the licensed retail trade for over 30 years having joined Courage Brewery as an assistant site manager.
Progressing through food development and delivering exceptional trade growth at a range of pubs, restaurants and hotel appointments with amongst others Courage and Young's, Eddie established himself as an independent auditor and valuer in 1994. Since that time he has worked with all of the major pub operators including Enterprise Inns,
Greene King, Fullers, Young's and Brakspear in addition to large catering concerns such as Sodexo and various others both brokers and retailers. Eddie has also operated at the sharp end having held lease agreements with Enterprise Inns and Greene King.
Latterly, Eddie has applied his extensive experience to consulting on operational matters to various licensed retail groups of Hotels, Restaurants and Pub companies both in administration and in growth.
Nigel has spent 25 years in the Licensed Trade and is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant. Starting with Courage Brewery in 1985 Nigel progressed to running one of the first Multiple Pub Companies, Acorn Inns, for 12 years before merging it into Pubs 'n' Bars plc. in 1999 as part of its launch on to the AIM market.
Nigel Halsey-Watson
Nigel moved in to consultancy in 2000 and since then has worked with a variety of Companies including Po Na Na, Balaclava/Hobgoblin, Pennant Inns, Churchill Taverns and Capital Pub Co plc.
For the past 10 years Nigel has acted as Leisure Consultant, Recovery & Reorganisation Division, for Grant Thornton. During this time, he has conducted numerous business reviews on a range of pub companies, and been hands on in the administration of Allied Leisure, Massive Pub Company & Pubs'n'Bars. He is currently providing accounting services to small pub companies and individual pubs to help them through the current recession.
A K Chapman (Kay) - Office Manager
Most often the first point of contact in the office Kay keeps the team coordinating and resolving issues on a daily basis.
Having spent some years in customer service from cruise ships to Bar and Restaurant management Kay moved to an office roll for a multiple operator, specialising in payroll.
Kay has been with benefitting PLS for four years with the experience gained in both front and back of house constantly proving an invaluable resource.
Agnieszka Swiercz (Aggi) - Senior Accounts Assistant
Arriving from Poland in 2006 Aggi began her career in hospitality, training in both waiting and bar service she has worked in the service industry since. Having achieved high academic standards in College Aggi was keen to exploit her aptitude for figures and is currently sitting her AAT (Association of Accounts Technicians) exams.
PLS have in Aggi a perfect balance of practical experience and academic aptitude.
